These connections help to increase the base of hydrometeorological data – catalyzed by innovative technologies and approaches – to support WMO Members in water-related decision-making.

The WMO HydroHub is seeking to fund projects that will build the capacity of Pacific Island Countries’ National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) to use innovative hydrometric observation technologies or monitoring approaches.

The WMO HydroHub recognizes that data sharing is often prevented by the lack of knowledge about basic ICT and readily available data exchange standards, WMO regulations and tools. To close this knowledge gap and contribute to the advancement of hydrological data exchange worldwide, the WMO HydroHub has developed and carries out the Distance Learning course "Interoperable Data Exchange in Hydrology".
